Tenants to move into affordable housing units in Falls Village
FALLS VILLAGE – Tenants are expected to move into the newly renovated apartments at 21 Miner St. in mid-April, marking another step forward in the Falls Village Housing Trust’s efforts to expand affordable housing options.
According to FVHT president Jandi Hanna, construction is nearing completion, and tenants have already been secured for two of the building’s three apartments.
The building features two two-bedroom units and one adaptable unit that can be configured as either two or three bedrooms. Nearby, at 17 Miner St., the trust is also developing two more two-bedroom units, one of which is handicapped-accessible.
While the trust planned for tenants at 21 Miner St. to move in on April 1, contractor Brenden Lee identified additional repairs needed for the porch roof, delaying occupancy by at least two weeks.
