Jandi has been a Speech & Language Pathologist for the Region One Schools for twenty-four years. Raised in Goshen, Jandi has lived in Falls Village for the past nineteen years. Jandi is a founding member of FVHT.
Jandi is an original voice actor of the Nutmeg Junction Radio program.
Tracy is a native of Falls Village with 40-years of experience managing agricultural and economic development programs for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Save the Children, and the International Voluntary Services. He lived and worked for 30-years in several countries in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Tracy has served on the Board of Habitat for Humanity for nine years, five as President. The FVHT is fortunate to have a founding member with his experience and commitment to affordable housing.
Susan has been a branch manager at Litchfield Bancorp in the Lakeville Office since 2004. She has spent her career in banking with over 33 years of experience. She is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management’s two-year program on banking theory, practices, and procedures. Susan donates countless hours to the local community. She has been the president of the Tri-State Chamber since 2009, which has a main goal of connecting commerce with community and supporting local businesses. She is a director of the Salisbury Rotary Club and a director of the Salisbury Rotary Foundation. Susan was awarded the “Paul Harris” Fellow award on May14, 2013. Susan and her husband reside in Falls Village.
Lara Mittaud grew up in Falls Village and graduated from Housatonic Regional High School and Vassar College. She is a military veteran and after living abroad moved back to Falls Village with her husband and two children.
Lara runs the family’s farm, manages various rental properties, and served on multiple boards and commissions in the town. As one of the founding members of FVHT, she believes strongly in the importance of providing affordable housing opportunities for all income levels.
Barbara Deinhardt is a lawyer and labor arbitrator and mediator who first came to Falls Village in 2004. Over the past fifty years, she has worked in both the private and public sectors and has been appointed by New York Governor Mario Cuomo and Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden to positions responsible for protecting fairness and justice in the workplace and facilitating labor peace. She and her husband now live here almost full-time. Barbara has been a longtime Board member of the Hunt Library and is a new member of the FVHT Board. She strongly believes that affordable housing is an obligation that a community owes to its residents
Abigail grew up in Queens, NY. After earning a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the New York Institute of Technology in 2010, she began a 10+ year career in the NYC Interior Design high-end residential field.
Abigail frequently visited her college friend in Kent, Connecticut and fell in love with the Northwest corner. She and her family were renters in Falls Village from 2020-2023.
In 2020 Abigail founded her interior design firm, Casa Marcelo, in response to creative burnout, a lack of representation and work/life balance in the NYC Interior Design Industry.
She has experience with volunteer work in NYC, serving the homeless population, and caring for children in an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico through her college years. As a renter, she believes that everyone deserves to have a home, including in a town like Falls Village.
Felicia has a B.S. in Public Health Education & Marketing, and has completed Certifications in Community Economic Development, Grant Writing and HousingWorks. She is a founding member of the FVHT, and has served on the board of the Foundation for Community Health, Falls Village Community Development Corp. and was a Falls Village Wetland Commissioner.
Felicia and her family lived in Falls Village between 2005-2023 before moving out of state.
Craig is both an Architect and an Interior Designer and local small business owner. He specializes in low environmental impact design elements, up-cycling and refurbishing mid-century modern furniture to create healthy and beautiful environments.
He grew up in Australia and has lived and worked in a number of countries. This gives him a broad perspective and lager view of the housing industry. He and his husband have lived in Falls Village since 2017.
Craig is committed to developing housing that serves the community as a whole, and includes multiple sizes, designs and prices that supports long term sustainability and economic viability.
Jason grew up in rural Iowa and has lived in Washington D.C., New York City, Los Angeles and now Falls Village. He and his wife thoughtfully selected Falls Village for their "forever home" to raise their two children.
His father is a general contractor who provided Jason with hands-on experience building homes in the Midwest.
Jason is an artist. He is also Director of Business Development and Marketing for a large International shipping logistics company for the last 14 years.
Dave is a native of Salisbury, CT and can trace his family toots in the Berkshires to the min-1800’s. While attending Tufts University, he spent summers and a gap year working in construction. Renovating vintage homes became a passion and he has appeared in several episodes of the PBS series “This Old House” and numerous books and periodicals. He is a licensed real estate agent and has built or renovated over 150 homes in the tri-state region.
Dave is also a professional musician and has appeared on stage in the local music scene since 1991.
Phillip has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 20 years. He was the Deputy Director of Scholarship Programs at the Open Society Foundation he designs and runs scholarship programs for individuals from repressive environments who are eager to improve their home communities but lack educational and professional opportunities that might help them.
Phillip grew up in Texas where his family had a dairy farm in a small rural community. He and his husband were introduced to the charms of Falls Village while visiting friends. They purchased a home and moved here in early 2017.
